Pressure gauges

Pressure gauges from WIKA – market leader worldwide since 1946
Our pressure gauges (mechanical pressure measuring instruments) for gauge, absolute and differential pressure have been proven millions of times over. For the optimal solution for the widest range of applications, there is a choice of measuring systems in Bourdon tube, diaphragm element and capsule element technologies. The pressure gauges cover scale ranges from 0 … 0.5 mbar to 0 … 6,000 bar and indication accuracies of up to 0.1 %. For the various requirements in industrial and process instrumentation there are pressure elements from copper alloys, stainless steel or special materials available.

Models 111.10, 111.12

The model 111 pressure gauges are based on the proven Bourdon tube measuring system. The deflection of the Bourdon tube is transmitted to a movement and indicated.

Digital pressure gauge

High-quality digital pressure gauges from WIKA
A digital pressure gauge displays the acting pressure in an integrated digital display. WIKA offers digital pressure gauges for general industrial applications and also for use in the field of testing and calibration. The indicator cases of our digital pressure gauges are rotatable if required and thus always ensure a good readability. In addition, intrinsically safe versions and instruments with wireless interface are available.

Pressure sensors

For each measuring task the right pressure sensor
A pressure sensor (or pressure transmitter) converts the physical quantity ‘pressure’ into an industry-standard signal. In addition to a wide range of pressure sensors for general industrial applications, we offer special versions for refrigeration/air conditioning technology, the food industry, mobile working machines, medical gases and also the semiconductor industry. Our pressure sensor portfolio covers accuracies from 0.05 %, measuring ranges from 0.05 bar up to 15,000 bar, digital interfaces such as CANopen and IO-Link and also various international approvals, including for hazardous areas.

Model A-10

The model A-10 pressure transmitter for general industrial applications is not only notable for its compact design, but it also offers excellent quality at an extremely competitive price. The user can choose between a non-linearity of 0.25 % and 0.5 %. A free test certificate provides information on the measuring points recorded during manufacture.

Pressure gauges with output signal

For all established electrical signals with non-contact sensor
Pressure gauges with output signal combine the advantages of the analogue indication of a mechanical pressure gauge, needing no external power, with the electrical output signal of a pressure transmitter. These hybrid instruments are available with all commonly used electrical signals. The sensor works in a non-contact way, without any influence on the measuring signal. Many of the instruments can be delivered in accordance with ATEX with an Ex i intrinsically safe ignition protection type.

Pressure switch

For each application the right pressure switch
A pressure switch opens or closes a corresponding switch contact as soon as a preset pressure is reached. Depending on the requirement and the design, pressure switches are used with mechanical or electronic switch contacts, with or without displays and with various setting possibilities. Pressure switches are used in a variety of industrial and technical processes – in WIKA’s wide selection you will find the right version for each application.

Model PSD-4

The PSD-4 electronic pressure switch is the universal solution for industrial automation tasks – also in hygienic applications and under harsh conditions. Due to an accuracy of < ±0.5 % and minimal long-term drift, it permanently ensures an accurate representation of the process pressure for more than 100 million load cycles. The pressure switch is available with a digital output signal as well as a switchable and scalable analogue output. In addition, it can also be easily monitored via the self-diagnostics.

Contact pressure gauges

Contact pressure gauges: Switching and indicating with a single instrument
Wherever the process pressure has to be indicated locally and, at the same time, limit values must be monitored, contact pressure gauges find their application. The switch contacts make or break circuits dependent upon the pointer position of the indicating measuring instrument. If the reading is significantly above or below a set value, they trigger an alarm, hence also the term “alarm contact”. Contact pressure gauges are also suitable for starting, stopping or switching processes.

Models PGS23.100, PGS23.160

Wherever the process pressure has to be indicated locally and, at the same time, circuits need to be switched, the model PGS23.1×0 switchGAUGE finds its use. Switch contacts (electrical switch contacts) make or break an electric control circuit dependent upon the pointer position of the indicating measuring instrument. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full extent of the scale range (see DIN 16085), and are mounted predominantly below the dial, though also partly on top of the dial. The instrument pointer (actual value pointer) moves freely across the entire scale range, independent of the setting.
The set pointer can be adjusted using a removable adjustment key in the window.

Diaphragm seals

The optimal diaphragm seal for every process
WIKA diaphragm seals (often also referred to as chemical seals), mounted with pressure gauges, process transmitters, pressure switches etc., are recognised and valued internationally for the most difficult of measuring tasks. By using diaphragm seals, the measuring instruments can be used at extreme temperatures from -90 to +400 °C and with aggressive, corrosive, heterogeneous, abrasive, highly viscous or toxic media. The optimal diaphragm seal designs, materials and filling media are available for each application.

Valves and protective devices

Valves and protective devices for increased safety and service life
Via cocks, shut-off valves, valve manifolds or monoflanges, pressure measuring instruments can be securely separated from the process during commissioning, maintenance or calibration. Protective devices, such as syphons, overload protection and snubbers, increase the service life and extend the application spectrum of pressure measuring instruments. In addition to the extensive selection of instrumentation valves and accessories, WIKA also offers the qualified assembly of various individual parts to form a complete measuring assembly (“instrument hook-up”).

Models IV10, IV11

Needle valves and multiport valves separate the process from measuring instruments such as pressure gauges, switches or transmitters. By closing this valve the instrument can be safely dismounted for services like recalibration or replacement. With the vent connection option, the instrument can be vented to the atmosphere by means of the needle valve. Already in the standard version, the multiport valve is equipped with two additional connections. These can be used either as vent connections or for the connection of additional instruments.

Model 905

Contact protection relays are used in type 821 contact devices. They increase the switching reliability and switching capacity of electromechanical contact devices and lower their contact voltage. Undesired switching operations of contact devices caused by vibrations are significantly reduced by a drop-out delay of 0.5 sec. On the side of the contact they operate with a lower control voltage, however, on the output side they can be highly loaded. Contact protection relays consist of a power supply unit, control unit, switching amplifier and relay output. The contacts are supplied by a control unit with 35 to 40 V clocked DC (i.e. only every hundredth switching occurs under voltage). This enables the optimum contact protection and switching reliability for millions of switching cycles.
